Sephora VIB Haul!!

Hi loves!
Sorry I haven't been posting much! I can't begin to tell you how busy things have been! Work is insane right now, and I've had a lot going on lately! But I did find time this week to sneak in a little shopping! :)

Sephora recently held a VIB event in which VIB members received 15% off! Obviously I couldn't let this go to waste, so I picked up a few things that I've had on my wish list!

The first item I picked up was this Cream Lip Stain in Watermelon Slice from the Sephora Collection! This shade is insanely gorgeous! So bright and fun for summer time! It's a bright coral with a hint of redish pink in it! It looks amazing on and I love the way the cream drain dries to a nice soft finish while still staying extremely pigmented! It doesn't dry out or ever feel uncomfortable and it lasted all day! I wish I would have picked up more shades, but there's always next time! ;)

It may sound funny, but I've always wanted a Tarte Cosmetics eyelash curler! In the past I convinced myself that I didn't really need it, but I finally gave in to my deep desires when I saw this bright, fun, summer colored one! This one is called the Neon Lights Limited-Edition Picture Perfect Eyelash Curler! I used this for the first time and I was in awe of how perfectly and effortlessly it curled my lashes! Even before applying mascara my eyes looked open and more defined! This thing is literally worth ever single penny! I can't ever imagine going back to my cheap-o $5 one after this experience! This set also included a small sized Lights Camera Lashes mascara! Never hurts to have back up mascaras if you ask me! ;)

Also from Tarte, I was FINALLY able to find the Tarteist Clay Paint Liner! I've been wanting to try this for sooo long! As someone who struggles with achieving the perfect winged eyeliner, I'm praying this helps me get there! I'm so excited to try this one!

One item I've been dying to try is Smashbox's Photo Finish Oil-Free Pore Minimizing Foundation Primer! I've heard race reviews about this stuff and I always see that it is out of stock! The 1oz tubes were sold out in my store, but I was lucky enough to be able to snag a .5oz mini to try it out! I'm so excited for this and hope it lives up to all the hype!

Also from Smashbox, I picked up the Photo Finish Primer Water! I've heard pretty good things about this product as well, and I figured with the summer months coming up, my oily, shiny skin will need all the help it can get! This can be used both to prime and set your face so I have high hopes that I love this as well!

Another item I couldn't resist trying is Cover FX Custom Cover Drops! I've never actually tried anything from the Cover FX brand, but my best friend swears by it! I've been obsessed with Periccone MD's No Foundation Foundation Serum the last several months and these Custom Cover Drops seemed similar to me. I love that a small amount of this foundation goes a long way while still achieving great coverage! I've only used it once, but I really liked the application and finish! I'm excited to keep messing around with it more!

And finally, I picked up another Beauty Blender! This one speaks for itself! I just love these things and its my favorite way to apply foundation! I'm basically addicted to them! Lol! I couldn't say enough about how much I love it! If you don't have one, do yourself a favor and invest the $19 in one! It's basically life changing!

So that was my fun trip to Sephora this week! I also made a small online purchase for some things they didn't have in the store! I'll make sure I share them with you too! If you would like to see a full review on any of the items I purchased just let me know!

Better Late Than Never- February Favorites!

Hi love bugs!
We have officially survived another Winter month! I'm really not a fan of February at all! Despite it being the shortest month in the year, it always feels like the longest to me! Like we're just waiting around for something to happen and just trying to get through it unscathed! I don't know about you guys, but I am seriously OVER this Winter! I need sun and warmth ASAP! The only silver lining this month was the fact that so many new beauty products popped up in the stores! And of course I came up with a few favorites for you! :)

The first product I've fallen in love with is Murad's Skin Smoothing Polish! And I really mean LOVE! I use this about 2-4 times a week and after using it for the last two months or so, I really can't see myself switching to another face exfoliator any time soon! A little bit of this goes a long way, and it makes my skin feel super clean and soft! I wouldn't say I notice anything amazing for my pores really, but I do notice that my skin is clearer! I also just realized that one of the claims for this product balanced oil production! That could definitely be playing in part in why my skin has been less oily and shiny lately, or it's just the frozen tundra I'm living in! I'll have to keep using this as the warmer months approach to see if it really helps at all! I'll keep you posted! ;)

I know I wrote about a face primer in last months favorites but this month I switched it up a bit and now I am obsessed with Maybelline's FaceStudio Master Prime Blur + Smooth Primer! That's not to say I have any bad feeling towards last month's Angel Veil Primer by NYX, it's still a great product, I just saw this in the store and decided to give it a try! I seriously love, love, loooove this primer! Again, my skin has been more on the normal to dry side lately, so I have still been able to skip my milk of magnesia primer! This one goes on super smooth and I feel like it really does blur out my pores! Even my thicker foundations work beautifully with this! It allows me to get the most even, soft, and smooth foundation looks! My makeup also lasts forever when I wear this! It doesn't get shiny or cakey throughout the day and still looks flawless when the day is over and I'm taking it all off! A little bit of this goes a long way too, and it's totally affordable!

For foundation I've been really enjoying the new L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte 24 Hour Foundation! This combined with the Maybelline primer above and my holy grail NYX Finishing Powder has been my go to way to do my face makeup! This foundation is a creamy liquid formula that dries totally matte! It gives a medium to full coverage, but is buildable for more coverage if you choose! I can't say that this necessarily lives up to the 24 hour claim (who wears makeup for 24 hours?), but it does stay matte and looking flawless throughout the day! I haven't noticed any change in the appearance of it or break down of the formula! This might just be one of my favorite drugstore foundations ever!

For my everyday eyeshadow looks, I've been using Milani's Eyeshadow Primer! This stuff seriously rocks! First of all it's only $5.99!!! Can you believe that? $5.99!! It's an amazing drugstore dupe for the majority of high-end eyeshadow primers (think Too Faced Shadow Insurance) but honestly, it is even better, in my opinion! And... did i mention it's $5.99! Lol! It's a nice cream consistency that applies like most shadow primers, and it dries really nicely so there's not too much tugging when you go to apply your eyeshadows! Best part is your eyeshadow look lasts all day and stays looking beautiful! This too is quickly becoming a holy grail item for me!

As you already know from my previous post, I've been super crazy obsessed with Colour Pop Super Shock Eyeshadows! These things are seriously so amazing! I've been particularly loving the shade Desert! It is the most perfect transition shade for the crease and it pairs well with pretty much any shade I put on my lid and brow bone! It reminds me of Mac's Soft Brown Eyeshadow only this is in Colour Pop's unique formula! This does have a little bit of shimmer to it, but I actually like the effect it gives! Seems to bring a little more brightness to my eyes!

To apply the Colour Pop Desert Shadow in my crease, I've been using my Sigma E40 brush! At first, I kind of found little use for this brush since it is so big and fluffy! It was a bit intimidating for an eye brush considering it is almost the size of my entire eye! Lol! BUT... Using this brush to apply eyeshadow to the crease area has been life changing! I have no idea how it happens, but it deposits the color it the most perfect spot and blends everything out like a dream!! I'm being 100% honest when I tell you that I don't even remember what brush I was using for my crease before I started using the E40! If you buy one Sigma brush in your whole life.. make sure it is this one!

For a few weeks, I was starting to feel like I was in an "eyeliner rut". I don't know why, but all of the ones I had been using were starting to bore me and I wanted something to "Wow" me! I decided to go back to one of my favorite eyeliner brands and purchased a Mally Beauty Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Liner in the shade Shimmering Black. I have always really loved these eyeliners! They apply so smooth and smudge perfectly! The color literally lasts all day long and never runs or flakes! I also really love this shade because while it's still a black eyeliner, there is just the teeny tinest amount of shimmer to it! It's almost undetectable, but I feel like it takes some of the drama out of the harshness that black eyeliner can sometimes have! This definitely helped me to get out of my rut! :)

I've been experimenting a LOT with eyebrow products! Some of them I love, but most of them I end up hating! Lol! This It Cosmetics brow pencil has been my go-to brow product all month long! It just works for me! No hassle, no fake looking drawn on brows! It glides into my eyebrows so smoothly and fills in the spots I need a little oomph in and makes them look more defined! And the shade is absolutely dead on for me! Out of all the brow products I've tried lately, this is by far my favorite! I think this is definitely going to become a huge staple in my makeup collection!

My all-star product for not only this past month, but this entire season so far, has been Bite Beauty's Agave Lip Mask in Champagne! I'm a huge, huge, HUGE fan of Bite Beauty's products and I might be so bold as to say this is one of my all time favorite products I have ever used in LIFE! The formula for this is unlike anything I've ever used! It's not sticky, it's not tacky, it's not too thick or too thin, it is just PERFECTION! I would seriously be lost without this anymore! And honestly, I just genuinely enjoy the way it feels on my lips! It feels luxurious and like you are really doing something special for yourself and your lips! It just keeps them super hydrated and smooth with minimal effort! What's not to love about that? I typically use this in the evening when I get home from work, or at night before I go to bed. But, I also like to sometimes just wear this on it's own. I love the pretty, glossy look it gives my lips and the champagne/ rose gold shade offers just a hint of color and shimmer! I seriously just love this stuff so much and could never begin to say enough great things about it! If you don't have this, go buy it! Seriously. Stop reading, and go now! You will love it!!!

Another lip product I have been obsessed with is one of Milani's new Color Statement Matte Lipsticks in the shade Matte Naked! Like the rest of the world, I've been loving matte lipsticks lately, but these are seriously the most comfortable ones I have tried! They are really light weight while also having great color payoff and staying power! I don't know how they accomplished all of these feats with one lipstick, but they deserve some sort of award for it! I also really love the shade of this lipstick! It's perfect for an everyday lipstick or a sleek and chic look! It's the perfect mix of pink and brown tones and it gives a great warm nude look to the lips! These have been pretty hard to find in my area, but I really hope I'll be able to get my hands on more shades soon!

So that's it for February! Sorry it took me so long to get this posted! But at least I made it before March was over! Haha!

Thanks for reading!

February Ipsy Glam Bag

Hi loves!!
Sorry this post is a little late! It's been a busy couple of weeks lately! But...I am loving February's Glam Bag!

The Glam Bag is totally adorable! I love the girly pop of hot pink and the gray and white pattern! The pink color is pefect for February and is nice nod to Valentines day without being covered in cheesy cliche hearts!

The first beauty item in my bag was GlamGlow's Brightmud Eye Treatment! I literally squealed when I saw this! I'm a big fan of GlamGlow and their mud masks! It's definitely a pricier brand, so I love when I can try something before I buy it (I always get samples from Sephora)! I'm so so so excited to try this eye treatment and really glad it was in this months bag!

The second item I pulled out was City Color's Creamy Lip Stain in the shade Flirtini! I've heard a lot about City Color, but haven't tried any of their products, so this was pretty exciting to me! It's a really pretty darker pinkish-mauve color! I love the shade because it's not super bright or crazy Barbie pink (not really my thing)! The texture reminds me a lot of a liquid lipstick but slightly thinner (which is where I think the stain aspect comes in)!

Next item was a blush compact by Model  Co. (a totally new brand to me) in the shade Peach Bellini! Now, anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE a good Peach Bellini! Lol! But.... I'm kinda on the fence with this blush to be honest, even though I really want to love it! First of all, it had a very strange smell upon opening it.. I can't really describe it, but it was slightly off putting, kind of like it had been sitting in a clearance bin for years in end! It is a very true peach shade and it has a very satiny finish with a tiny hint of shimmer. It almost appears "frosted" when you swatch it, and I honestly don't think I would love the look of this on my cheeks! I could see this working well as an eyeshadow so maybe I'll play around with it and see what I can come up with!

I also received a gorgeous eyeshadow by Rob Scheppy for 'Tini Beauty (also a new brand for me) in the shade Pearl Fizz! Oh my goodness!!! This eyeshadow is absolutely beautiful! I seriously may be obsessed! It's a super creamy formula with a satin finish and I love the pretty champagne shade! It's simple, but elegant and I feel like this can easily be thrown on for a day at the office or dressed up for a night out! I'm totally in love!

The last item in this month's bag was an Eva NYC Up All Night Volumizing Spray! You guys all know my thin, limp hair needs all the Volumizing help it can get, so I was excited to see this! It also protects your hair from heat so that's definitely a great bonus! And it also smells amazing! I have really high hopes for this stuff, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! :)

So overall it was another fabulous Ipsy month! I really love almost all of the products it received!
I will have my March Glam Bag posted soon!

Just a little update!

Hello my loves!
I just wanted to give you all a quick update on why I've been MIA lately... and basically it boils down to a "Winter Blues" melt down I had a few weeks ago!
It all started at the end of February when my boyfriend and I took a little belated Valentines day getaway to Washington DC for the weekend. Despite it being the coldest day of the year, our trip got off to a nice start!
We visited Arlington National Cemetery and walked the grounds in the frigid cold (which was a small price to pay to honor the hundreds of thousands buried there) and I finally got a chance to see the Kennedy grave site and the Eternal Flame.

Being there and seeing the acres upon acres of graves was very moving, and I'm really glad we went! But, I'll be honest, I was probably the coldest I have ever been in my LIFE even while bundled up!
The next day we went into the city and were planning on touring some of the Smithsonian museums and getting lunch. Well, it started to snow as soon as we left our hotel and basically continued the rest of the day.

Everything was gray, wet and cold. You could barely see the Washington Monument when you were just a few blocks away from it! But, we tried to make the best of it since we were there! We went to the National Museum Of American History, and saw some pretty cool stuff and then decided to break for lunch.
I don't know if it was because of the weather or because it was a weekend, but we could't find a restaurant ANYWHERE nearby that was opened. So... We decided to walk about 2 miles in the snow (about 3 inches of snow covered sidewalks and streets... in sneakers... which was not easy at all) to the first place we could find. We had lunch finally, and then decided to keep on going and try to squeeze some more into our trip!
We took a very treacherous cab ride to the Lincoln Memorial where people were literally skiing around the National Mall, and my patience with the cold and snow were starting to wear very thin!
We walked through the war memorials (which I'm sure are much nicer in warmer weather) and finally back through the Washington Monument to the train station to go back to the hotel.
I don't want to sound ungrateful for our little getaway... and it was nice to spend time together, but the weather seriously brought me down hard!
think we definitely need a redo trip in the Fall maybe!

Either way, our little trip set the tone for a few weeks of seriously crappy weather here in South Jersey! It basically snowed every single week! I had zero motivation to do much of anything and felt myself sinking into a deep "Winter Snow Depression". I was super tired of having to drive to work on snow covered roads, tired of seeing it piled up high on the corners and tired of wearing Ugg boots everywhere! I was tired of wearing "snow clothes" to work (which for me consist of warm and cozy hoodies or sweaters since it's a casual office), and I was jealous that my boyfriend was getting snow day after snow day since he works for the school system!
I had basically reached my breaking point and was just short of losing my mind! I was tired, angry, and starting to seriously suffer from lack of vitamin D! I started to wonder if it was too soon to become a snow bird and move south!
So... Combine all of this with the fact that work has been a lot busier lately, I just could not find the motivation or energy to come home and blog or take photos of products! But... it is FINALLY starting to get a little warmer and I can officially and literally see the light! I don't know if I've ever been quite this excited for Spring! Lol!
I just wanted to let you know I haven't forgotten about all of you! And I will have some beauty related posts coming soon! I still have to get my February Ipsy and February Favorites up for you! And I promise I will try my best before March is over! LOL!
Thanks for bearing with me through my Winter Blues! It's starting to feel like Spring, although we are due for more snow tomorrow! I'm praying I don't snap again! Haha!

Nivea In Shower Body Lotion

Hi guys!
As I've mentioned before, I am a huge slacker when it comes to moisturizers! I find it tedious and often hate the way most feel on my skin. They either leave me feeling sticky, slick, or oily. And trying to put skinny jeans on over sticky legs is just too much work for me! Lol!
When I first saw that Nivea came out with the new In Shower Lotion I thought "Now that is something I can get on board with!"! I love a good shower product, so I was very anxious to try it out! I found it in my local CVS and could not wait to try it the during my shower the next morning!
I've been using this for a few weeks and so far this stuff is pretty life changing! I just do my normal shower routine and right before I get out I use the In Shower Lotion! It feels pretty luxurious when you're using it in the shower!
The combination of the warm water and the lotion makes your skin feel super hydrated! To me this is glorious because my skin typically feels really dry, tight. and stripped after a hot shower! I love the silky feeling of my skin! All you need is a quick rinse after applying and you are good to go! I towel off as normal and I'm done!
The best part of this is it doesn't leave behind any sticky, gross feeling residue! After my shower my skin just feel soft and hydrated! No added time waiting for anything to dry! Sure, it takes a minute or two to apply it in the shower, but to me this is a small price to pay (plus it means I can stay warm for an extra minute). I'm able to slide my legs into my jeans without any struggle from an added lotion or body cream! My skin never feels greasy thought the day! I was sold on this the very first time I used it. And when I went to bed that night, I really noticed a huge difference in the way my legs felt! They were still soft and silky smooth!
After using it for a few weeks, my skin feels awesome! I notice less dryness all over, and I love the convenience of it! I think this is a great all year round product! Imagine how great this would feel after a day at the pool or the beach! I definitely recommend giving this a try! It's affordable and really does make a difference in your skin! I should note that there are three different versions of this. One for normal skin (which is the one I purchased), one for dry skin, and one for very dry skin. I love that there is an option for every skin type depending on your needs!
*One major warning here though... Make sure you rinse your shower floor really well if it becomes slippery! Broken bones aren't cute! :)

Laura Geller- Baked with Love Collection

Hi loves!
I don't know about you guys, but I am a sucker for cute, girly things that pertain to just about any holiday imaginable. I have no idea why, and I think it started way back when I little, but I always feel the need to have these "limited edition" holiday items! Apply that need to my already raging obsession with beauty products and it can be quite intense! :) Lol! Holidays like Christmas, and Valentines Day are the easier ones for me to get sucked into, and this year is no exception!

I recently came across this adorable little set by Laura Geller called the Baked with Love Collection! I've had a few items from the line on my wish list, so I thought this was a great time to try a few out! The price was definitely right for this set! Only $25 for three full size products!! The blush on it's own sells for $27, the baked highlight sells for $24, and the lip crayon sells for $16! I know... CRAZY good deal! That's WAY more than half off! I almost can't believe it!

The Blush-n-Brighten Baked Cheek Color is in the shade Pink Grapefruit! It was basically love at first swatch for me! Totally obsessed and was the deciding factor in me purchasing this set! I love the soft pink shade and the swirls of highlight throughout it. It goes on so beautifully and gives the most natural looking pinky/bronzey look to your cheeks while also making you appear to be glowing from within! It's just stunning!

The French Vanilla Baked Highlighter was actually the product that I was after all along! I've been dying to try this since hearing so many people rave about it! And let me tell you, it does not disappoint one bit! The shade is literally vanilla... that is the best description! It gives a beautiful, glowy highlight! I like to use this on my brow bones, cupids bow, center of my nose and cheek bones! It's soft and smooth, not chalky at all, and it just makes you look wide awake! I absolutely love it!

The Love Me Dew Lip Crayon is in the shade Watermelon Cooler. This shade screams Valentines Day to me! It's a bright pink that makes your lips look like you just ate a popsicle! For me, the shade is a little too pink (just not my favorite lip color) and seems a bit summery, but some of you might absolutely love it! I really do love the formula of the Lip Crayon though! It applies super smoothly and feels very hydrating! The moisture lasted quite a while, but since the pigment really sheers out, I felt that the color wore off pretty quickly (especially when eating and drinking). It's not a terrible product, but it definitely wasn't a star of this set for me!

Overall I think this is a not only a great value, but the products are really amazing quality as well! The blush and highlighter were the stand outs for me, while the lip crayon, wasn't exactly my favorite! Two out of three isn't too shabby in my opinion! Trying this set has really peaked my interest in the Laura Geller brand as a whole and I definitely plan to check out more! I also love the Valentine's Day feel of this set! It is so cute and girly, but definitely in a more grown up way! So, Men, (if there are any of you out there reading my girly blog), this set makes a great gift for the special woman in your life (along with some flowers or chocolates of course)! And girls, don't feel shy about dropping this one as a hint to your guys (leave it up on the computer screen, post it to Instagram, talk about it non stop... you get the idea) ! :) LOL!

Hope you enjoyed this review! As always thanks for reading!

♥ Nichole

Ps. My mom also picked up this set after seeing mine and loving it! So, I should also mention that this would make a great gift idea for Mom as well! Don't forget to show her how much you appreciate and love her too! ♥

Maybelline Brow Drama

Hi loves!
What is it with all the hype over eyebrows these days? Is it just me or are they EVERYWHERE? And what is this "on fleek" business everyone is using to describe them? Can we stop making up ridiculous words now? Seriously, search #browsonfleek on Instagram! Sorry, rant over. Anyway, if you haven't noticed, brows are on fleek everywhere! That means that almost every cosmetic brand is trying to step up their brow game to keep up with the trend and releasing new products so all of our brows can be on fleek! *Last time I swear!

I've never paid much attention to my brows before now. Maybe the occasional pencil fill in, or clear gel to keep them in place, but honestly, I'm lucky if mine are plucked half the time! Lol! My eyebrows are darker than my blonde hair, but still really really light! It makes it hard to find the right shade that doesn't make them look gray, orangey, or too dark! So I figured, what the hell, why not try some of these new fangled products that promise I will have... ahem... amazing brows! ;)

I picked up the Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara in Ulta recently and couldn't wait to give it a try! It seemed like it would be pretty user friendly since it is just a tinted brow gel and the "sculpting ball" seemed like it would be easy to control.

The first time I used it, I went in very cautiously. The "sculpting ball" seemed a little on the large size for such a precise area with such little tiny hairs. It really was all down hill from there.... First, the "sculpting ball" picks up way too much product. I gently ran the ball end of the brush over the thickest part of my eyebrow (above the inner corner of my eye) and ended up with huge clumps! I tried to smooth them out, but it dried insanely fast and just clumped even more in my eyebrow hair. Somehow, by the time I was done, I looked like I had caveman brows. It was actually frightening. I tried to fix them with a spooly wand and it actually continually got worse. The product was sticky, streaky, and basically felt like tiny pieces of chewing gum or wax in the hairs. You guys... it was not good at all! I even had an extremely difficult time getting the product off my eyebrows with my makeup remover. And I mean difficult to the point where panic had started to sink in a little. I was horrified by the whole experience.
I was so reluctant to even try this a second time, but because I love you guys, and want to give accurate product reviews, I bit the bullet and went for round number two. The second experience was pretty much just as awful as the first. A complete mess. AND I was being even more cautious having learned my lesson the first time! I don't get what this stuff is supposed to do!? It doesn't look natural at all!

So needless to say this product is pretty much a big disappointment! No #browsonfleek here ladies! Lol! ;) There has to be a better way and so my search continues!

Nichole

Ps. If there are any brow products you love, please let me know and help a girl out! :)

January Favorites!

Hi beauties!
We have officially survived the first full month of the year and of Winter! January is always such a blah month to me and always seems to drag! But, as I'm sure you've noticed, a LOT of new beauty products have also hit the shelves this month and it's been pretty exciting! I like to think that it helped to keep those "Winter Blues" away so far! Hehe!

Speaking of surviving... one product that has definitely helped my skin get through the relentless cold and January wind is Mac Cosmetics Oil Control Lotion! Confession time- I rarely ever use a moisturizer on my face before applying makeup. I know, I know, I really should, but I've tried with other face moisturizes and lotions and my makeup just slides right off. That being said and despite my normally very oily skin, I do tend to get some dryness this time of year. Particularly on/around my nose, eye area, and chin. This Oil Control Lotion has been amazing! It helps to moisturize the areas that need a little extra lovin', but also dries quickly and doesn't stay tacky on the skin! I've had absolutely no problems with it making my skin feel more oily throughout the day and my makeup stays in place perfectly! I may actually be so bold as to say it has helped my makeup to apply better and stay longer! I'm still a tiny bit skeptical as to whether this will work well with my skin in the warmer months, but I am certainly hopeful! If you too struggle with oily skin, this product is definitely worth trying out! Keep in mind that your local Mac counter or store will give you a sample to test out if you ask!

Another product that has been working really well for my face this month is NYX Cosmetics Angel Veil Skin Perfecting Primer! Again, since I've been less oily and a tiny bit dry, I haven't had to use my Milk Of Magnesia primer quite as much. I still use a primer of some kind every day though, and this has by far been my favorite, if not the BEST drugstore primer I've ever used! It is a little bit pricey for a drugstore brand, but I'm telling you, it's really worth every penny (and don't forget you can use your Ulta coupons too). It is so ridiculously smooth and makes your skin feel so soft! This may sound strange, but the consistency and texture of this almost makes me feel like they have somehow turned their HD Studio Finishing Powder into a primer... or maybe its mixed into the product? I don't know, but it feels soft and dries to almost a powder finish on the skin! It's truly wonderful! My makeup applies really well with this as my base and it lasts all day! I've tried it with several different types of foundations and it hasn't given me a single issue! I love everything about it!

One of the newer products to hit the drugstore shelves earlier this month was Maybelline's FaceStudio Master Conceal! I have seriously been loving this ever since I purchased it and I think I've used it almost everyday so far! It is a thinner consistency, and marketed as a "camouflaging" concealer so it  gives medium - full coverage depending on how much of it you use or build up. I feel that it gives me great coverage under my eyes and the shade (I'm in Light) is perfect for me! It blends great with all of the foundations I've been wearing and wears really well throughout the day! One of the added bonus for this product is that a little bit goes a long way! This tube is a decent size and will easily last you a couple of months! :)

One product I really cannot seem to get enough of this month is Mac Cosmetics Mineralize Blush in Love Joy! My Mac girl, Lauren, used this on me just before the holidays and I have been obsessed with it ever since! I use this primarily to do a little contouring for my cheekbones and forehead and I LOVE the results I get with this! It's the perfect warm shade and really takes the guess work out of contouring for me! It's subtle, but really does help to make a difference in my makeup look! It does have shimmer in it, but honestly, its not really enough that its totally noticeable or anything. It just gives a nice glow to your skin! A little bit of this also goes a long way though, so I think I'll be using this for a while!

One of the new drugstore products that I could not wait to get my hands on was the Milani Rose Powder Blushes! At first I could not find them any where, but finally I found a single one all lonely and by itself in my Aunt's CVS! I pretty much jumped up and down and my Aunt realized I'm truly a lunatic! Lol! Luckily it was the shade I was after too! :) I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the rose design! It is so beautiful and makes you feel instantly pretty and girly even when you just look at it! I'm usually not one to care about the designs on a product, but this one actually makes me feel bad to mess up! It's just too adorable! The shade I have is Romantic Rose and it is a beautiful rosey, pinkish, mauvey color! It looks gorgeous on the skin and wears really well for me throughout the day! I actually feel like this is one of the better blush formulas from the drugstore brands! I'm so totally head over heals for this and seriously need to get my hands on the other two shades!!

This next favorite I actually received as a Christmas gift and it was something I had been longing for in life! It's Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Powder in Opal! This is another one of those products I would "visit" and die over whenever I was in Sephora or Ulta! Lol! It is just the most gorgeous highlighting powder ever! In addition to using this on my cheek bones, I love using it to highlight my brow bones! However, my favorite way to use this has actually been as an eyeshadow on my lids! I absolutely love the eye look I get with this! It's perfect for everyday and can really been glammed up  for evening looks! I love the shimmery, opaly, almost rose gold shade! It's just so gorgeous and I can't help but squeal a little bit inside every time I open it! Haha!

My bestie also gave me an awesome gift for Christmas that I have been loving! It was a set of Laura Mercier mini Caviar Stick Eye Colors! These are a really amazing and apply so incredibly smooth! I love how versatile these are being that they can be used as a liners, all over the lid shadows, or smudged and smoked out! My favorite way to use them has been as an all over the lid shadow! I also love how the darker shades easily blend into the crease for a transition shade or the outer corners for a more dramatic look! They're super creamy and nicely pigmented with great staying power! The gift set of minis is no longer available, but full size sticks are part of Laura Mercier's permanent line! I think they're definitely worth checking out the full size sticks if they're something your interested in trying! :)

Another eye product I've loved this month is Covergirl's Full Lash Bloom mascara! At first this wasn't a product that I was really interested in trying. I was happy with the 800 other mascaras I had been using, but ended up seeing it again one day caving. I really enjoy their Clump Crusher mascara, so I figured, what the hell, why not try this one too?! I am SO glad I did! I really love the formula of this mascara! It seems to be the perfect consistency- not too wet or too dry! It's really just right! The mascara brush does a really great job of coating each lash and creating awesome volume, but also separating well so they don't all stick together! I haven't noticed any flaking or smudging when I wear this, and it easily comes off at the end of the day with my usual makeup remover! I was never a huge Covergirl fan, but their mascaras seem to pretty on point lately!

Covergirl has also released a ton of new products this past month and I've been dying over the new Colorlicious Lipsticks! These too have been super hard to find in all of the stores around me! Every store's display is super picked over, especially of the nude shades in the line! But, after some searching and trips to multiple stores, I was finally able to grab a few of the colors I wanted! I really love the formula of these (at least the nudes)! They are so creamy, pigmented, and give off a slight shine to the lips! They feel extremely comfortable and not too "lipsticky" or too glossy. The staying power isn't the best in the world, especially when eating or drinking, but I wasn't really expecting them to be, so it wasn't a huge disappointment. I love the range of colors and how affordable they are! If I am lucky enough to find them, you can bet I will be buying more! :)

This past month I've also been really into curling my hair! I typically use hot rollers, but they can be a little time consuming and I always have to make sure I have time to leave them in. One of my other Christmas gifts I was lucky enough to receive is the Bed Head Curlipops 1 Inch Curling Iron Wand! I freaking LOVE this thing! I've tried so many curling wands over the last few years and none of them have really been that easy to use or worked great for me. I was really surprised by how well this works! It's super simple to use, sets to the perfect temperature, heats quickly, and my curls last! It gets the job done super fast for me (only takes me 10 minutes) and my hair always turns out great! I've been really impressed with it!

So that is January in a nut shell for me! Tons of great new products, and some great gifts I was lucky enough to get for the holidays! I'm super excited to see what next month brings! February is one of my favs because of all the cute lovey dovey stuff that gets released in stores (some of which you are probably already seeing). Rumor has it there are some great new Spring 2015 product launches happening this month too! So exciting! :)

Thanks so much for reading as always, let me know what some of your favs have been!
