Hi Guys!
Sorry I'm a few days late this month! The end of November was a bit busy! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with your family & friends! Did you do any shopping? I certainly did! I think my credit card company is going to make me their "Customer Of The Month"! I can feel it coming! ;) Lol! But, back to why we're here.. lets get into my favorites from the past month!
First up is this Laura Geller i-Care Waterproof Eye Liner! I think I really have worn this almost every day this month! I actually got this from Ulta as a free gift (they substituted this for something they were out of that was advertised). I certainly don't hate it! It goes on so smoothly and creates a perfect black line. It's easy to build the thickness of the line because the formula is so creamy. It also blends like a dream! It has great staying power and doesn't run or flake throughout the day! I would definitely purchase more of these! It's just a great basic, every day, black eyeliner!
Sticking with eyes, my next obsession has been Cover Girl's Clump Crusher Mascara! I am not typically a fan of most Cover Girl products, but this mascara is amazing! It lives up to its name and really doesn't get clumpy AT ALL! I love the mascara wand and think it is actually what makes the product so awesome! It perfectly separates and fans my lashes out beautifully! I also love to use this on my lower lashes because the wand and brush is the perfect size! I've even turned my mom on to it, and also picked up a back up in case I run out soon! It's definitely a new must-have in my makeup arsenal! Check this one out if you haven't tried it yet!
By now, you all know that I love my blush! It's no secret. I have a heavy hand. And I don't care! To that point, I am absolutely obsessed with theBalm's Instain blushes! Ahhh where do I begin?! These blushes are GORGEOUS!! They are a pressed powder (in the cutest packaging btw) and literally stain the cheeks. They don't leave behind a chalky or powdery finish like some powder blushes can. Somehow, they just melt into your cheek! They are super duper pigmented and literally last all day long! They just don't budge! This Houndstooth shade is my current fav! It's a perfect Fall/Winter mauvey tone that brightens your face in the most beautiful way! The best part is that theBalm is now sold in Kohls stores so it is even more accessible! I will definitely be collecting these in every shade! I just love 'em!!!
Back to eyes real quick.. And another item from theBalm that I picked up in Kohls, this gorgeous Nude 'Tude eyeshadow palette! I can't even begin to describe how perfect it is! I love every single eyeshadow shade in this palette! They're great nude shades with a few jewel tones thrown in, which makes it perfect for this time of year! I love that I can get a really simple day look for work with this palette or go a bit more dramatic for evenings out!
I also love the formula of the shadows! They're super pigmented, rich and creamy! A little bit goes a long way with these and they blend really well! I think this might be in my top five favorite eyeshadow palettes ever!
I've loved Too Faced's Chocolate Soleil Bronzer in Milk Chocolate for quite a while now, but I recently started picking up more and more! It's the perfect shade for an all year round glow and helps to make you look less dull and drab during these cooler months! I use this mostly to contour my cheek bones and forehead a bit, and love the fact that it's completely matte makes it perfect for contouring! Since I am so fair and this bronzer is rather dark, it is extremely important to blend, blend, blend! Did I mention blend? Otherwise, I tend to look muddy and streaky, which is not a cute look! If you're familiar with Too Faced products, you already know about their delicious, chocolaty scent! Oh. My. God. !! Its amazing! Seriously the most genius idea ever! And if you're not familiar, or haven't smelled them, run to your nearest Ulta or Sephora and smell them like your life depends on it! :)
Speaking of contouring, lately my favorite brush to contour with has been this Rounded Blush Brush by Makeup Geek! It is the perfect size for getting right into the natural contours of your face! It also doesn't pick up too much product with is always helpful when it comes to contouring! I like to try to take the less is more approach because you can always add, but you can't take away! This brush gets the job done perfectly!
For quick touch ups, I've been loving this Essence All About Matt Fixing Compact Powder! It's very similar to my favorite NYX Studio Finishing powder, only its a pressed version! It's great to have in your makeup bag for on the go touch ups. I also like to use this on days when I'm not doing a full face of makeup, just to set a bit of concealer. At $3.99, it's super affordable and a great alternative when you don't want to "waste" your good stuff!
For the entire month, I've been on a huge lipstick binge! I literally cannot stop buying it! I have a problem and I can admit it. But with trying on tons of new lipsticks, wearing matte shades all day, and Winter weather, my lips have seriously been suffering a bit! To help with the dryness I've been using this E.l.f. Studio Lip Exfoliator all the time! Sometimes even twice a day! It has seriously been my lifesaver! It has tiny sugar scrubbers in a lipstick form that exfoliate your lips and keep everything feeling smooth! It smells sweet, like sugar and vanilla and even tastes pretty good (because sugar)!
I usually follow this up with a nice, thick lip balm to re-hydrate my lips! At $3, it's another super affordable item that you will end up not being able to live without! Definitely pick this one up if you don't have it already, your lips will thank you later! ;)
This next product was something I've been searching for for a LONG time! Three words... Aquage. Uplifting. Foam.!! Ever since I started following The Small Things Blog (the girl with the most beautiful hair on the internet.. She's basically Pinterest Famous) I've wanted this! Kate always uses this in her hair tutorials and I was so jealous of the volume it gave her hair! Well, I finally found it in my local beauty supply store (Cherry Hill Beauty Supply on Kings Highway if you are from around here) and snatched it up super fast! It's a little bit on the pricier side (even at their discounted prices in the store) at about $18, but I'm telling you it's worth every penny! It gives my limp hair life, volume and great texture that helps keep it all in place! I love it and I swear you will too!
Earlier this month I came across a new hair product line in Target called Hair Food by Clairol. I had been looking for a new shampoo and decided to pick one up to try out! I chose the Root Cleansing Shampoo and I have to say I love it! It really makes my hair feel so unbelievably clean and it removes any product buildup! It also smells amazing! The strawberry and ginger scent is sweet but refreshing (if that makes sense)! I'm really interested to try the other products in this line and plan on picking more up very soon!
And that wraps up my favorites for the month! Again, with the holidays quickly approaching I've been trying to behave, but there are just so many great products out there this time of year! I have a lot of product reviews coming up for you soon and holiday baking recipes of course! Stay tuned!
Thanks for reading!
